Our Veterinarian
Dr. Karen Thompson
Dr. Thompson graduated in 1991 from Auburn College of Veterinary Medicine. She owned a practice in East TN for 17 years. Doc moved home to Kentucky and started Cedar Heights Animal Clinic in 2009. Dr. Thompson has chickens, her dog named Venus, 2 horses; Troubadour whom she raised from 3 days old, and Missy Waggy Tail,16 barn cats, and an indoor cat named Chandler whom she delivered from a feral cat and hand-raised. Dr. T enjoys spending time with her growing family.
Our Staff
Alicia
Alicia has been with Cedar Heights Animal Clinic since 2010. She has two crazy boys who keep her on her toes, two wild dogs named Leela and Dash, and 4 cats named Sabrina, Havey, Zelda, and Giovanni, who cause just as much chaos as the children.
Hannah
Vet Assistant
Hannah has been with the clinic since 2020. She owns 2 amazing cats that adopted her. Jack is her sweet little cuddler who loves the sunshine and the shower. Monty loves laying in piles of clothes watching “Criminal Minds” and contemplating how to murder with no thumbs. When she’s not spending time with family, friends, or pets, you’ll find her out thrifting and traveling.
Adrian
Adrian has been with the clinic since 2023. With her love for horses and other animals, it was an easy career path to choose. She has a cat named Nibbles who thinks he’s a dog, as well as 3 dachshunds named Richie, Pixie, and Jingles, and her Blue Heeler named Koda. Outside of work, she loves to spend time with her 6-year-old daughter Oakleigh.
